- What emergency planning has the district done to protect my child? Clear Creek ISD has taken many steps to prepare for a variety of emergency situations to ensure that students and staff are safe and secure. District officials are regularly in contact with law enforcement officials and have coordinated with local emergency responders in developing emergency procedures. - Where can I find special information on school closings due to an emergency? In the event of an emergency, important updates will be posted on the homepage of the district's web site. - I understand that I can have my child tested in order to skip Kindergarten or 1 st grades, who should I talk to? The Director of Assesment, Accountability and Program Evaluation would be able to answer your questions. For contact information, please visit the Academics Section of this site.
- When do report cards and progress reports come out? For information on our testing and grade reporting calendar, please visit the CALENDAR section of the district's site. If you need additional information, please contact your campus office.
- Where do I find bus scheduling information for my student? The district does not post scheduling information online. If you have questions about your child's bus schedule, please contact your campus. For general information on walker and bus information, click here.

How do I find directions to different schools? Driving directions are listed for all schools on each campus web site. [Please note: Mapping services utilize yahoo maps.]

What school will my child attend next year? During the school year, student registration occurs at the school your child will be attending. Use our school locator to find what school you are zoned to attend. If you do not know which school yet, you can consult our attendance boundaries or contact the Office of Public Information at (281) 284-0020, or via e-mail to find out.
- What before and after school programs does the district offer? There are a variety of clubs and activities to meet the needs and interests of our students. Overviews of district special programs and student activities are available online. Please check with your child’s individual school for more specific information.
Student Needs
- What information do I need to bring with me when I register my child with the district? To better inform our students and community, Clear Creek ISD has designed a section of the web site devoted to STUDENT REGISTRATION. The registration section contains information on registration dates,
immunization records and requirements, residence policy, registration
requirements, contact information and a quick FAQs sheet.
- What school supplies does my child need? A complete school supply listing can be found in our PARENT AND STUDENT section. High school students receive supply information during the first week classes are held. For more information contact your child's campus office.
- Where can I find back to school information for my child? CCISD has a comprehensive listing of back to school information online at our district web site. Visit our Back to School section located in the Parent and Student section of the site.
- My child is a transfer student. What do I need to know? Students moving into the District during the summer may call their school to
register before the start of the school year. Campuses are open until June 19th. Students who move into the District during the school year should make an
appointment to enroll. A student is required to attend school in the attendance
zone in which the family resides or obtain an approved transfer. Click here for ATTENDANCE ZONE information or use our SCHOOL LOCATOR.
- Where can I find information on INTER/INTRADISTRICT TRANSFERS. Please see district policies FDA(Local) and FDB(Local). Intra district Transfers are those within the district (from designated attendance zone to another attendance zone). Inter district Transfers are those out-of-district. Go to SCHOOL BOARD, select "POLICIES", select the "F" policies, scroll to FDA(Local) and/or FDB(Local).
- Where can I get an copy of an Intradistrict transfer? All Intradistrict transfers can be obtained at the campuses.
- Who do I talk to about Pre-K? Pre-K questions go through Irene Espinoza office (281-284-2564).
- I want to enroll my child in Kindergarten, is there an age requirement? Yes, there is. There is information in Policy (FD Legal/Local)
- Who handles residency questions? The campuses have information regarding residency.
- Do we enroll students who do not reside in this district? No we do not, you must reside in the district to attend our schools, see Policy (FDA Legal/Local)
- My child attends another school district in the area. I received a letter saying that if my child's school is low-performing, can I send him/her to another school district? While this information is correct as provided by the Texas Education Agency, the Agency also gives districts the option as to whether or not to accept out-of-district students. Clear Creek ISD does not accept out-of-district students. (Refer to Policy FDA(Local) ).
- Will my son or daughter have to wear a uniform at school? The Clear Creek ISD's Dress Code is outlined in all student handbooks. Student handbooks are distributed at the beginning of the school year, however, to assist in purchasing the wardrobe for the school year, listed here is information on the CCISD Dress Code. However all CCISD Intermediate and Clear Lake City Elementary have adpoted Standardized Dress Codes. Click Here to see Standardized Dress by campus.
- When is Kindergarten registration held? Most elementary schools have Kindergarten “Roundups” in May, where parents and children come to learn about the school and register.You can call your local school for the dates and time of their Kindergarten information session, or view our K RoundUp Information Page.
- What does my child need to get into school? For a full list of requirements for school registration, click here.
- Does the school district offer English Language Learners (ELL) classes? Yes. For more information, visit: http://www.ccisd.net/academics_05/curriculum/ell.html
- Who handles school lunch concerns and menu questions? Child Nutrition Services sets the monthly lunch menus, prices, and other information.
- Who handles health issues at school? Students are Clear Creek ISD's most valuable resource. Each campus has a registered nurses, that specializes in the identification, assessment, prevention and intervention to remedy or modify students' health needs. Individual campuses maintain immunizations records, mandate specific health screenings and facilitate communication with parents when needed. - How do I find information about specific curriculum? Visit our Curriculum Section. The information contained in this section outlines the District's foundation
programs and curriculum for elementary, intermediate and high school courses.
- My student has not been successful in traditional high schools…or my student isn't particularly interested in sports and the usual large high school extracurricular activities. Are there alternatives? Yes. Clear Creek ISD offers an alternative campus at the Clear View Education Center for students in grades 7-12. The traditional high schools are also addressing high school reform through Smaller Learning Communities and other specialized instructional programs. CCISD has also launched Clear Horizons Early College High School with San Jacinto College designed for highly-capable students seeking advanced opportunities in college-credit classes and community-based internships. - Can I rent a room in one of your schools for a meeting? Whom do I contact? Our schools are often used by different service organizations for evening meetings. Please contact our Operations and Support Team.
- Who handles vendor questions? How does a vendor acquire an RFP? Questions regarding vendors and acquiring an RFP should be directed to the CCISD Purchasing Department.
- Where can I find information on how to apply to the district? Visit our Employment Section or submit an online application.
- How can I get involved? Parents and members of the community are encouraged to participate as volunteers. For more information on how to volunteer in the district, visit our How to Get Involved page.
