Under the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, Title I Chapter 2 Sections 2.12, 2.13, and under the Occupations Code, Title 10, Subchapter M, Section 1701.601, the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office School Liaison Officer’s are authorized to operate and enforce criminal and traffic laws within the Clear Creek Independent School District.
 
 
The department is staffed by licensed and commissioned peace officers. Officers have assignments to every campus in the District. All police officers have completed their training at a state-approved police academy and have the same authority and power as any other police agency within the State of Texas. Officer’s enforce all applicable federal, state, county, and city laws as well as school district regulations.
