Student
safety is the primary concern of the Clear Creek
Independent School District Transportation Department.
Statistics show that the most dangerous time
for students is before and/or after they are
on the bus. |
|
| |
- CCISD does not post bus route information
online for safety reasons. Please contact
your campus for information on your student's
busing information.
|
We
attempt to place every bus stop at a location
with reasonable safety assurances for students.
Parents must assume the responsibility for their
students traveling back and forth from home
to the bus stop. |

Transportation
Bus Rules
General:
CCISD Transportation Procedures
were established for the safety of all students
riding on Clear Creek ISD buses.
Transportation bus cards represent
permission to ride a school bus and must be
on file in the Transportation department to
board a bus. The first two weeks of school each
year are a grace period during which bus cards
are given out by the bus drivers and must be
returned to the bus driver. Thereafter, the
cards may be obtained at the campus and students
must present them in order to board the bus.
Boarding
Students shall:
- Adhere to all Clear Creek ISD dress code
requirements when riding CCISD school buses.
- Conduct themselves in a safe manner while
waiting for the buses.
- Be on time at the designated school bus
stop. Five-minutes before the scheduled
pick-up time is recommended. Adhering to
this regulation will make the bus stop areas
safer and will aid in keeping buses on schedule.
Buses will not wait. For safety reasons,
buses will not stop for late students or
students running for the bus.
- Stay off the road at all time while waiting
for the bus.
- Use caution when approaching the bus.
- Wait until the bus has come to a complete
stop and the driver opens the door before
moving toward the bus or attempting to board
the bus.
- Shall not refuse to board or disembark
a school bus when asked to by the driver
or sponsor. Refusal could result in disciplinary
measures. Students shall board the bus only
when the driver is on the bus and has given
permission to board.
- Disembark only with driver permission.
- Have permission to ride their regularly
scheduled bus only. Student transportation
on a bus other than the bus regularly assigned
will be granted In EMERGENCY SITUATIONS
ONLY. Students must have written
permission from the parent or guardian.
This permission must be approved by the
student’s principal, and a “Bus
Transfer Slip” issued. Most emergency
situations would involve medical problems,
accidents or the unforeseen necessity for
the parent or guardian to be out of town.

For
more information of student conduct, please
review the
CCISD Student Handbook. Students
failing to obey the posted bus conduct rules
will be subject to progressive discipline by
the driver and school. The driver will remind
the student of the infraction and ask for the
student to obey the rules. |
|
If
the student refuses to obey the rules, the driver
will either move the student to another seat
in the bus and/or write the student a referral.
Student discipline generated by a referral is
handled by school administration. |
