Dear Parents, Students and Staff,

I have recommended a plan to the Clear Creek Independent School District Board of Trustees, which would allow high school students to remain zoned to the high school they attend today, regardless if their neighborhood is proposed to be zoned to a new high school in 2019-2020. Any high school boundary change will be implemented with the incoming 9th grade class.

In other words, the high school a student is attending today will be the same high school he/she attends next year and through graduation. Transportation will be provided. More details will be released next week.

I wanted to share this information with our families as soon as possible since 9th Grade Orientation is Monday, February 11, 2019 at 6 p.m. and course fairs are scheduled for incoming 9-12 grade students at 7 p.m. that evening. Here is a link to information on this important evening of learning about high school.

The school board will take formal action on the proposed school boundary changes during the Monday, February 25, 2019 CCISD Board of Trustees General Meeting at 7 p.m. The school district will communicate the Board’s final action following this meeting.

Thank you,
Greg Smith, Ph.D.
Superintendent of Schools
