Q: Who do I contact if I've forgotten my account information?
A: Contact the school office and ask to speak to the K12Planet Campus Account Manager. Once logged in, it is recommended that parents enter their email address into the K12Planet system so they may use the "forgot password" link to obtain their information.
Q: Can I use my student's account to view information?
A: Students and parents have separate accounts, be sure you are using the correct one so you can see all the information for your student(s).
Q: How do I get an account?
A: Fill out the appropriate authorization form and bring it, along with a photo ID, to your school office.
Q: What will I find in a K12Planet Parent Account?
A: You will have access to your student's schedule, homework, grades, discipline and attendance records, and announcements from the school and teachers.
Q: Who do I contact if I've forgotten my account information?
A: Contact the school office and ask to speak to the K12Planet Campus Account Manager.
Q: How current is the data on K12Planet?
A: Teachers are required to export their information every week; some teachers choose to do that more often. The data is uploaded to K12 everyday.
Q: Who is entitled to a K12Planet account?
A: Clear Creek ISD distributes K12Planet account information to those persons with legal access to student grade information. This includes the student, parents (unless court has removed legal access) and legal guardians. It does not include stepparents without legal adoption documents. Grandparents are eligible for accounts under certain circumstances with notarized forms.
Q: If my student or spouse already has an account why do I need one?
A: You may share accounts as desired within your family. The reason for separate accounts is that the primary account holder may change the password denying access to others.
Q: My child is 18 years old. I thought legal rights transferred to my child?
A: If the student is listed as a deduction on your Federal Income Tax, you still have legal rights to grade data without the permission of the student.
Q: What if I am not a legal parent or guardian and wish to have access? A: Clear Creek ISD cannot grant that access. The student or legal parent may share account information with you. Once account information is distributed to legal recipients, they may share or protect.
Q: May I deny access to K12Planet to my ex-spouse?
A: Only a court order may remove this right to a legal parent. If you believe that your ex-spouse has been legally denied access to the student records, you must present court documents for verification.
Q: Are legal rights to access and custody the same thing?
A: No. Although a parent may not have legal custody, this is not the same as the right to access grade information. In the K12Planet system, only a parent with custodial rights may view the Discipline reports.
Q: I have legal custody of my child, but I cannot view Discipline reports.
A: If you need access to these data, please contact the school. Verification may be required after which you will be contacted and/or our records corrected. Upon correction the Discipline reports will automatically become available in your account. |
