Clear Creek ISD recognized National High School Hall of Fame Coach Bill Krueger by dedicating the new Clear Lake High School Field House in his honor. The dedication ceremony was at 7 p.m., Nov. 14 at the Bill Krueger Field House, 2929 Bay Area Blvd.

Krueger joined Clear Creek ISD in 1965 and in his 31 years in the district, his name became synonymous with victory. He led 22 basketball teams to district championships, five to regional championships and one to a state championship in 1989 and ammased an overall career record of 1096 - 250.

Krueger is the recipient of numerous honors, earning the Texas High School Coach of the Year award twice and National Coach of the Year award  once, election to the Texas high School Hall of Fame, feature articles in "Sports Illustrated," and induction into the National High School Hall of Fame.
