Clear Lake High School PTSA Embarks on ‘Read to Recovery’ Program
Parents & Students Help Falcon Pass Elementary
In celebration of the Texas PTA’s Centennial and in support of ongoing Hurricane Ike recovery efforts, the Clear Lake High School (CLHS) Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) announced today the launch of Read to Recovery. The Adopt-a-Book Program will benefit the library at Falcon Pass Elementary, one of many Clear Creek ISD buildings impacted by the recent storm.
In honor of the Texas PTA’s Centennial theme, the PTSA is inviting all fellow book worms to adopt one of 100 book titles in an effort to help restock the Falcon Pass library bookshelves – and Give the Gift of Literacy and Healing! Donations will be accepted from December 1 through January 9.
Donors contributing the estimated full price ($20) of a selected title will have their name and a message featured on a nameplate placed on the inside cover of the donated book. Group and partial donations are also being accepted.
To participate and for more information, please contact Terri Dieste at tldieste@aol.com.
