Budget Practices Recognized Three Years in a Row
04/01/2008
League City, Texas - The Clear Creek Independent School District has received the highest form of recognition in governmental budgeting for the third year in a row. The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) awarded Clear Creek ISD the Association’s Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the school district’s 2007 budget.
In order to receive the budget award, CCISD satisfied nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation. These guidelines assess how well the budget serves as a policy document, a financial plan, an operations guide and a communication device. This is the third year Paul McLarty, CCISD Chief Financial Officer and Cynthia Grisham, Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer received the GFOA award.
