LOCAL DEVELOPER DONATES PROPERTY TO CCISD
League City, Texas- When completed, Education Village, as dubbed by Clear Creek Independent School District administrators, will house an elementary, intermediate, and high school on property located on Highway 146 and Highway 96 in League City. To assist in the development of this master plan, local land developer and philanthropist, Sam Boyd donated nine acres, roughly valued at $1 Million to the school district. “Congratulations to the teachers, staff, volunteers, Dr. Mossman, Board of Trustees, and everyone with Clear Creek ISD for your excellence in education. Thank you for making a difference,” said Sam Boyd, Boyd Land Development.
The extra land will allow CCISD to expand its plans for Education Village. The CCISD Board of Trustees approved the land donation during Monday’s board meeting, and Dr. Sandra Mossman presented Boyd with a plaque of appreciation for his contribution. “In addition to purchasing land from Sam Boyd in the past, CCISD has also enjoyed working with him as a volunteer and philanthropist on various projects and programs within the district,” said Mossman. Several years ago, CCISD purchased 135 acres from Boyd for the education park.
