CCISD TAX DOLLARS ARE IN GREAT HANDS
League City, Texas- For the second time in recent months, the Clear Creek Independent School District Finance Department has received distinguished accolades for fiscal management. The Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO International) awarded CCISD the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting Award for the fiscal year ending August 31, 2006.
“This tremendous recognition affirms our promise to our community to not only be strong stewards of their tax dollars but to operate in complete transparency and with absolute accountability,” explained Paul McLarty, Chief Financial Officer. “I would like to applaud Jeff Kohlenberg, Director of Finance, and his team for their continual efforts to improve our financial reporting practices.”
ASBO’s Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting was established to recognize excellence in school district financial reporting. Districts that receive the award prepare financial documents that are user-friendly for the community and stakeholders. In May, CCISD’s Finance Department received the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award.
