Greene Teachers Subject of Thanksgiving
League City, TEXAS — PH Greene Elementary teachers received a special thank you from their students just in time for Thanksgiving. Students participated in a “Thankful for my Teacher” essay contest sponsored by Chick-fil-A at Baybrook Mall. The school selected an essay from each grade level that exemplified why their teacher is so special. The teachers featured in the winning essays received a day of pampering provided by community business partners and a special command performance by the Sugarplum Fairies from Friendswood Ballet’s Nutcracker.
The winning students and teachers are:
Kindergartner Omar Irshad and his teacher Patti Sutphen
First grader Nishika Peeris and her teacher Carmen Quiocho
Third Grader Madelyn Westrup and second grade teacher Tami Heese (Ashley Barnes accepted the award for Heese who is out of town)
Third Grader Gabrielle Boyd and her teacher Bridget Hales
Fourth Grader Zach Denbow and his teacher Lucia Wright
Fifth Grader Thida Chiv and her teacher Dawn Gibler
Fifth Grader Chase Bouchard and his teacher Sondra Dittmer.
