CCISD Board of Trustees Cancels Election
League City, TEXAS—The Clear Creek Independent School District Board of Trustees has cancelled the Board of Trustees election scheduled for May 13. The candidates for the three open positions ran unopposed and will be elected in accordance with the Texas Election Code, Section 2.053.
Trustee Ralph Parr retains his roll as the trustee for At-Large Position A, Stuart J. Stromeyer is the new District 4 trustee and Dee Scott is the new District 5 trustee. Initially, Scott was running against League City resident Tim Tibai. However, Tibai upon further examination, withdrew his candidacy from the election March 21 in order to save the district the approximately $40,000 cost of an election.
