CCISD Hosts Livestock Auction and Dinner

Community invited to bid on livestock raised by students in the FFA program.

 

League City, TEXAS—Clear Creek Independent School District FFA students are polishing horns and washing fur in preparation for the District’s 24th Annual Livestock Show and Auction. The auction is 7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 26 at the Clear Creek High School FFA Project Center. The Buyers’ Dinner begins at 5:30 p.m. prior to the auction.

 

Funds raised by the auction go toward student scholarships and reinvesting in future FFA projects. Last year’s auction raised more than $90,000 in scholarships for nearly 100 Clear Creek ISD high school students.

 

The livestock judging events are open to the public. The schedule is as follows:

Tuesday

4 p.m. Official Welcome

4 p.m. Judging of Broilers, Turkeys, Rabbits, Market Swine

Wednesday

1 p.m. Judging All Exhibits

4 p.m. Judging of Market Lambs and Goats

6 p.m. Judging of Market Steers

Thursday

5:30 p.m. Buyers Dinner and opportunity to meet with students

7 p.m. Livestock Auction
