Clear Creek ISD Bookkeepers Honored For Exemplary Management Of Activity Funds
Recently the Board of Trustees recognized three High School Bookkeepers for demonstrating exemplary management of activity funds, high levels of excellence, and the ability to handle a multitude of tasks on a daily basis.
At the high school level the bookkeeper not only needs to be familiar with activity fund policies and procedures, they must also be able to convey these policies and procedures to faculty and staff that may not be familiar with them. Unlike the elementary and intermediate schools, high school bookkeepers are also responsible for collecting testing fees, selling football tickets, and collecting parking fees and fines.
The magnitude of accounts at the high school level is astounding. There are well over 150-200 clubs in which the bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining records, preparing reports and deposits, processing payments, and coordinating with club sponsors and related district staff.
