Longhorn Project Celebrity Waiter Event Success

     The Longhorn Project Celebrity Waiter Event was held recently at the Saltgrass Steak House in Webster, Texas.  Approximately 200 guests and “celebrity waiters” attended this event that benefited the Center for Agriculture, Science, and Engineering (CASE) at Johnson Space Center.  The dinner raised more than $17,000 to begin the agriculture site part of the project located on 60 acres at NASA Johnson Space Center.  The center began with Texas Longhorn raising and breeding, but it also includes agriculture, aquaculture ponds, and a greenhouse.  This is a joint effort between Clear Creek ISD, NASA Johnson Space Center, the Texas Longhorn Breeders Association, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and Texas A&M University.
