CLEAR BROOK STUDENTS GOING TO TEXAS BOYS STATE
League City – Two Clear Brook High School students have been selected to attend Texas Boys State. Juniors Daniel Hogg and Oscar Kutch will proudly represent Clear Brook in June.
The American Legion, Department of Texas, will sponsor the 2012 Texas Boys State program on the campus of The University of Texas at Austin from June 3 - 8, 2012. Daniel is the son of Cliff & Sharon Hogg of Houston. Oscar is the son of Alex Kutch & Michelle Buckley, also of Houston.
The American Legion Post 554 in League City is sponsoring Daniel Hogg. Oscar Kutch will be sponsored by Clear Brook High School. At American Legion Boys State, participants are exposed to the rights and privileges, the duties and the responsibilities, of a franchised citizen. The training is objective and practical, with city, county, and state governments operated by the students elected to the various offices. Activities include legislative sessions, court proceedings, law enforcement presentations, assemblies, bands, chorus, and recreational programs.
