The course includes but is not limited to, animal handling and restraint, health and safety, sanitation and surgical preparation, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, infectious disease, instrument handling and equipment identification, vaccine preparation and injection techniques, laws and ethics and veterinary office practices. Students will gain insight into a career as a Veterinary Assistant and Technician. Students are also given the opportunity to develop leadership skills through the FFA organization.
