Ways to Get Involved

Whether you have just 60 minutes to spare or hours to share with a child, Clear Creek ISD is always looking for committed individuals to work with our children, teachers, and staff. We have a multitude of volunteer opportunities available, but our immediate needs are in the following areas:

• CCISD 2007-2008 SPEAKER TOUR covers fields from Astrology to Zoology. This is an opportunity for professionals to share their career experience with intermediate and high school students. We are seeking experts to motivate and educate our students on the endless possibilities before them.
  TIME COMMITMENT: ONE HOUR/FOUR TIMES A SCHOOL YEAR
• THE CCISD MENTORSHIP PROGRAM is looking for businesses to “adopt” one or more students for a semester. Whether you want to help an upper classman solidify his or her career choice or work with a cluster of elementary students on career-related projects, there is a place for you in CCISD.
  TIME COMMITMENT: ONE TO THREE HOURS WEEKLY DEPENDING ON MENTORSHIP SELECTION.
• KNOWLEDGEABLE TUTORS with a proficiency in math, science or different languages to work oneon-one with students in various grade levels. This is an ideal volunteer opportunity for retired professionals. TIME COMMITMENT: ONE HOUR/WEEKLY FOR A SEMESTER
• THE 2008 SENIOR CLASS is recruiting senior citizens to donate their time weekly to support various functions at our campuses from serving as a weekly reader to elementary students to a hall
  greeter for an intermediate campus. TIME COMMITMENT: HOURS DEPENDENT ON VOLUNTEER SCHEDULE
