Education beyond high school is more critical than ever. Statistics show a four-year college graduate earns significantly more than a graduate with only a high school diploma. Early College High School (ECHS) is an alternative to the traditional high school experience founded on the belief that many young people are ready and eager to do serious college work at age 16. |
| |
The ECHS program enables highly motivated students to move in four years from ninth grade through the first two years of college, earning an associate's degree, as well as a high school diploma. Students from many different backgrounds, who have a strong record of academic excellence and diverse interests will benefit from the ECHS program. |

| |
The ECHS Committee is working to create new opportunities to EDUCATE, EQIP, and EXCEL in secondary education. By motivating students with access to rigorous teaching and learning, ECHS is changing the future of high school education in CCISD today. |
