  We're Leading the Way  
 

The Clear Creek Independent School District once again received a “Recognized” rating by the Texas Education Agency. Clear Creek ISD continues to hold the Recognized record statewide, now earning it ten out of eleven years. For the first time, Clear Creek ISD also ranked number one among the large school district category.

 
     
   
     
  Congratulations!  
 

15 Clear Creek ISD schools were rated Exemplary by the TEA, up from 11 schools in 2005. Additionally, 13 schools received the Recognized rating. These ratings are based on TAKS student performance. In 2006-2007 school year, at least 95% of students passed TAKS in Reading, Writing, and Social Studies. More than 85% of students passed TAKS in Math and Science.

  Outstanding Leadership  
 
Clear Creek ISD Superintendent of the Year by Region IV Education Service Center of the Texas Education Agency and by the Texas Computer Education Association. She also was named one of five finalists for the Texas Superintendent of the Year Award.
 
     
   
     
  Excellence in Financial Management  
For the second year in a row, Clear Creek ISD received the highest form of recognition in governmental budgeting. The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) awarded Clear Creek ISD the Association’s Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the 2006 budget. Clear Creek ISD’s Finance department was also awarded the Association of School Business Officials International’s Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting.
 
     
   
     
  Soar to Success - Blue Ribbon Campus  
 
LaVace Stewart Elementary School in Kemah was named a Blue Ribbon school for making significant progress in closing the achievement gap. Stewart was one of 23 Texas schools and 287 schools nationwide to receive this prestigious education award. Stewart is the first elementary school in Clear Creek Independent School District to be named a Blue Ribbon school.
 
     
   
     
  An Award Winning Team  
 
The Office of Public Information was awarded five EMMY awards by the Lone Star Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for creative web design and video production. Clear Creek ISD is the only school district in the region to earn these awards.
 
   
   
     
  New Educational Experiences  
 
Nearly 1,000 intermediate students attended Clear Creek ISD’s Super Sci-Tech Saturday conference at the University of Houston, Clear Lake. This conference encourages intermediate school girls to pursue coursework and careers in the fields of math, science and technology.
 
     
   
     
  A New Horizon in Clear Creek ISD  
 
Clear Creek ISD received a $600,000 grant from the Texas Education Agency to support the implementation of Clear Horizons Early College High School. The early college high school, launched in 2007-2008 school year, provides an environment where highly capable, at-risk, and gifted learners attend school at San Jacinto College South Campus and graduate from high school with an associates degree.
