It may look like play time, but this is not a traditional geometry lesson. Clear Horizons Early College High School teacher Valerie Foskit purchased Rubiks Cubes for her Accelerated Geometry class thanks to an Innovative Teacher grant from the Clear Creek Education Foundation. Ms. Foskit is teaching more than math with these Rubik's Cubes. Perseverance, problem solving and critical thinking are all on display when these cubes come out.
A cycle of life is growing in Emilie Olivier's classroom at Clear Brook High School. Thanks to an Innovative Teacher grant from the Clear Creek Education Foundation, Ms. Olivier's AP Environmental Science students have been learning about a "growing" trend in agricultural sustainability.
Vivian Davis' 3rd grade science class is full of wonder and questions and sometimes even volcanoes. Her lesson about the science behind volcanoes is a hands on exciting time of discovery.
In the Clear Creek Independent School District, our mission is to prepare students to compete and succeed in the ever-changing 21st century. This mission requires us to look at education through a child's eyes today, and recognize the power technology will have on their life now, tomorrow and decades to come. The Latitude 2 Learn initiative is designed to harness that power to provide students unmatched opportunities to access the world effectively and responsibly.
